“Causes” are weaponized. Disagreement is tantamount to betrayal. Watch the news or look out your window, and this is what you see today. We are divided from each other and interact less and less with those whose beliefs differ from our own in any and all areas of life. In the public square, this polarization has morphed the ambition for power and control into a desire for dominance and supremacy in order to impose a set of beliefs on society as a whole. Historically, this has led to intolerance, restricted religious freedoms, and targeted minority religions.
